Principal Lawyer
Frances Chiu has been the principal lawyer at Landplus Legal since late 2013.
Her family background in agribusiness frequently took her to regional areas in various states, an experience that instilled a profound appreciation for the vast and diverse Australian land and how it connects people.
After graduating from The University of Sydney Law School Frances initially worked as a business strategy analyst at a global management consulting firm.
She then trained and worked as a commercial lawyer at a number of top-tier Australian national law firms, focusing on property law. Frances was admitted to Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001, Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2005 and High Court of Australia in 2006.
Frances also worked as a property lawyer at NSW Trustee and Guardian legal services team which is part of the Department of Communities and Justice.
Encouraged by her support network and communities, in 2013 Frances commenced her own law practice, providing quality professional legal services to young professionals, high net worth individuals and private companies in Australia as well as overseas.
Frances is fluent in Mandarin with conversational skills in Japanese and Hokkien.
She was appointed as a public notary in 2015.
